For a number of years now we have been spit roasting lovely Northumberland pigs on our machine to great applause. We adopted the brand Pig in a Bun for a bit of fun and it stuck! We are now also cooking lambs and beef on the spit roast so thought it would be fair for the pig to have some friends! We’ve added Sheep in a Stottie and Cow in a Bap to the fold and also chosen The Newcastle Spit Roast Company to encompass all three. We have some office space for rent here at Epicurus Towers. The space is 410 cm x 280 cm and is ready for networking. The space was previously used by our IT supplier. It comes complete with desk, workbench and a few shelves. Carpet throughout and blinds on the windows. The rental price is £200 pcm (plus vat) which covers electricity. You will be responsible for your own insurance arrangements.

For a number of years now, Chris has been running a cooking course for Whitley Bay Explorer Scouts here at Epicurus Towers. The scouts are working towards preparing a Mexican Meal for a fund raising night at the end of March. Last night, as a change from Mexican, Chris demonstrated this soup as a way of using up some hank shanks we had in the freezer! Most of them had never seen a ham shank before and certainly didn’t know where to get one!. They left at the end of the session laden with soup for lunch the next day. Here”s the recipe they used. Newcastle University Renews Contract with Epicurus Events

We are pleased to announce that from the beginning of February 2012, Newcastle University has renewed its contract with Epicurus Events Ltd. The contract will last for a further two years and represents a longstanding partnership with the University which goes back to when Epicurus began back in 1998.
